Hazaváró (Welcome Office) is a government portal that helps Hungarian citizens moving back from abroad: personalised information, administrative guidance, and a question-driven Navigator that routes people to the topics that matter. The public surface covers life events, topic pages, a video library, FAQ, news, Welcome Office points, and a higher-education subpage, with HU / EN / DE / ES locales. At DXS I contribute frontend on the shared government platform that also powers sibling services such as e-bejelentő — same discipline around reusable shells, typed boundaries, and accessible citizen UX.

Navigator and life events
Returning home is not one form — it is a set of life events. The Navigator asks a few questions and points people to the most useful topics; once signed in, support can be tailored. Life-event guides, topic search, and Welcome Office points sit beside FAQ, news, and a video library so the journey stays scannable on a phone.
Multilingual citizen UX
The portal ships Hungarian plus EN / DE / ES. Locale choice has to survive navigation without breaking content hierarchy or CTAs (start Navigator, higher-education subpage, login). Accessibility affordances — skip links, clear landmarks — matter as much as brand green and hero photography on a government domain.
Shared platform delivery
Hazaváró is not a one-off brochure site. It rides the same DXS government frontend approach as e-bejelentő: reusable components, form and content patterns, and production-minded delivery across related public services rather than a siloed rewrite per ministry brief.
